Arccaptain CUT55 Prolux Non-Touch Plasma Cutter High Performance

Out of the box, the electrode was slightly loose however, not a big issue simply tightened it up took a little bit of reading to figure that out parentheses I am new.)thing works excellent cuts like a hot knife and butter. My only additional want would be for more of the spring things that go on the gun or the standoff piece otherwise excellent product would definitely order again.

Have only used it a few time so far. But works as advertised.
And with it price next to its cheapest competition,how can you complain

cutter is good. only complaint is that the day after making the purchase my Credit card was compromised. I never use my CC for internet purchases. company shows in US but charges from Hong Kong. Watch your cards when purchasing from this company.

My first experience with this machine has not been very good. Put it all together read the manual for the settings I needed for.25” metal, made two cuts about 2” long. On the third cut the machine made a pop noise and that was it. Machine turns on but no arc for cutting. Very frustrating, just want it replaced for one that works.

Couple things , Ithought this machine would work with a cnc table, and Iguess the one I needed to buy was the MP version so that kinda sucks. And I had to put on my own air regulator because when I tried to change the air compressor fitting it was loctited so it broke the fitting where it connects to the hose. So that was a pain, BUT when I finally got to try it out it works amazingly !!!! It will easily cut through 3/4 plate no problem!!! Its a real nice and compactmachine once you get it going.i was hoping to use it on my cnc table but this machine wont work. And maybe make it easier to change out compressor fittings incase they use something different.

Plugged it in and it worked perfectly
No issues. Just waiting for a project to test it out fully.

I have the arc captain touch cut 50 and thought that was good. Now that I've used the arc captain 55 non touch I would hate to go back to a touch start unit.

Wow - this machine is awesome. Seems flimsy though so I hope it’s robust enough to last for awhile. Works absolutely awesome!!!!

Great little light weight plasma cutter! Did some work cutting the bed floor out of a 64 jeep truck. Did have one minor issue where it stopped cutting but Arc captain responded right away with email. They got me up and running right away.

This took some time for me to get used to on how it operates. It works well for my garage use. I do not know on the unit’s longevity yet…. But I’m hoping for the best. I’ve only used it up to 1/4” steel and it cuts well. I’m not sure it will cut the 3/4” as advertised but I’ll never have this need. I’m sure it will. It 1/2” as long as you take your time.

Awesome product no complaints and works as attended. Recommend 100 percent no issues and cuts everything for the diy shop.

So far this cut55 prolux has been great. Used it on 1/8 in with 220v power. Cut like butter. I have never used a plasma cutter before. Even used it on a barrel to cut large holes. Very fast. Cut 1/4 bar stock on 120v but with setting at 30 it tripped breaker turned down and worked great on an 3 inch cut. Liked so much I bought a stick/tig arccaptain.

Extremely happy with this! I bought it to cut stainless and it cut it like butter! Very nice and affordable.

I love this thing. It is compact, easy to hook up and user friendly. I have used it multiple times and have had no problems. I do feel that it struggles cutting 7/8 inch but does cut it. Also, the depth guide that attaches to the end of the torch is subpar. It fits loose and flops around and after a few uses it broke but you can buy an aftermarket one with wheels on it for less than 10 bucks so not that big of deal. All and all great machines.

The unit arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. Setup took next to no time. I also ordered an extra set of consumables. Although I've never used one before everything went fine. I hooked it up to 220 vac and my compressor. It cut a piece of half inch mild steel plate right away. It did well, although with a little practice it will be great. .

This cutter is great! Cut through ⅝ iron like a hot knife through butter. Highly recommend this unit!

I've never used a plasma cutter so I was expecting a long learning curve but I literally had it set up and cutting in less than 15 minutes.

I cut a piece of 3/8 steel plate, used a straight edge as a guide. Looks like it was cut with scissors

I’ve only used the plasma cutter on 110 power it cuts up to a 1/4” pretty good so far I’m really pleased with it!

I bought the
ArcCaptain Cut55 prolux.120/240 volt Plasma Cutter. This was my functionality test, the first cut.
It did a nice job on 120v and awesome on 240v. I was cutting rusty caked and covered 10mm mild steel, freehand in the dark (I did grind a spot for a good ground). I was supplying it with a 25+ year old oil cooled pancake compressor. I did have to wait for the pressure to build back up on 120v as it cut slower and my compressor is low CFM. ( Low pressure sensor shut unit off) I had no issues cutting at 240v.
My choice of material, rusty, muddy steel, in low light and adverse conditions, low CFM pancake compressor, was deliberate. I wanted to see how this unit performed in the worst possible scenarios. It exceeded my expectations.

This small and economical unit performs, as well as or better. Then, a high end unit I use at work. Looking forward to the expanded metal and stainless steel projects I have ahead!.
