ARCCAPTAIN Welder expressly warrants to all purchasers (“Buyer”) of all new welding and cutting equipment, helmet, and replacement parts (“Goods”) that Goods shall be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship which are discovered within the warranty period, subject to the disclaimers and limitations of the Statement. This warranty is void if the equipment has been subjected to improper installation and testing, improper care, unauthorized repair and modification, or abnormal operations.

Limitation and Disclaimer
Goods are intended for commercial and industrial users who are trained and experienced in the use and maintenance of welding equipment. Buyer's remedies shall be limited exclusively to those provided in this Statement. There are no express warranties other than those contained herein. Seller does not warrant any portion of the Goods not manufactured by Seller or its associates (whether or not specified by Buyer), but Seller shall assign to Buyer upon request all assignable warranties on product of Seller's suppliers related to such Goods. Refunds

I'm very impressed with this helmet, especially given it's price point. I am a welding instructor and use it everyday with my students, using it stick welding, flux core, MIG, TIG, cutting and grinding and it works great, the lens clarity is fantastic. The only downside is the integrated flashlights could be brighter but atleast they are there and help some. The head gear is comfortable and the weight is light.
I am new to welding and just started by purchasing the arccaptain mig200 welder and needed a helmet. I looked locally first, harbor frieght (HF), and all theirs looked cheap and way over priced so I looked on Amazon and found this arccaptain helmet and it looked awesome. I have now used it a few times and the field of vision is so much better than any other I saw at HF. The auto darkening is super fast and everything looks very clear when welding. The material quality looks good and it fits well and has plenty of adjustments that can be made. The LED lights are OK but I hoped for something a bit brighter. All this to say that if you looking for something quality made and that works and is comfortable, you will not be disappointed with this helmet. Price is a little high in my opinion but relative to other brands, you definitely get the most bang for your buck here. Pictures will show how it looks before and after darkening but it's actually much better in reality!
Get this welding helmet! I was running a YesWelder helmet for a few years & decided to upgrade to the Arccaptain. I’m glad I did! This helmet is a lot brighter & more clear than the YesWelder. I replaced the inner/outer protective lens on the YesWelder before taking pictures to compare. Its more noticeable in person than the pics show. The YesWelder is a darker more green compared to the Arccaptain.
The Arccaptain has an auto mode where it adjust everything for you (shade, delay, sensitivity). It also has built in LED lights to help in dark areas. Spend the extra $40ish & get the Arccaptain.
I finally took it out of the box and used it for the first time last. I have been using miller Infinity digital. It works pretty good but I find it a llittleon the heavy side. This arccaptain helmet is noticeably lighter and the clarity is unreal. I am sold on this one. My Miller was way too expensive compared to this one and the clarity and sharpness is much better. The only thing that I need now is to see if itv last as long as my past Miller helmets. They did hold up for many years but with the warranty of the X400 I am not really worried. Bottom line for me is so far I love it.
I’ve been using a Lincoln 3350 Viking helmet for 5-6 years and a Miller Elite before that. This helmet is by far superior to either of them. Not to mention the cost is significantly less. The gradient feature is amazing. Really saves on the eyes. The view is also great! I will be ordering a couple more.

Great helmet with awesome features but my rear adjustment knob broke within a month. Contacted Arc Captain about it but they never got back to rectify the issue.
I had a previous helmet I was having difficulty seeing the welding. This new Helmet is so much better. It even comes with a protective cover. As a beginning mig welder I am very happy with the helmet.
Great helmet to have, sturdy and well designed with comfort and stability entwined, head strap is easy to use and adjust in a pinch, fast changing of auto darkening fearure. and very easy to see out of. Highly recommend for new and trained welders.
Have owned Hobart, Miller, weldcote, yeswelder, and tekware hoods.. this one is far superior so far... it is smaller than i expected so i will be adding a bib and maybe a flap for the back but the clarity is top notch, battery life is good so far as i have not had to charge it in the month or so I've used it. The grind button is much more conveniently placed than others. The headgear could be better but that's to be expected... overall this is my favorite hood out of all I've had.. Definitely worth the money, would recommend 100 percent 👌

Helmet works great. Definitely helps with visibility but CANNOT PUT CHEATERS IN this helmet. Found it difficult to tighten the knobs enough to prevent helmet from falling in front of my face when raised.

need more time. finally, I can see what I am welding, this is a good thing. Helmet has too many options. I am still learning. Manual needs to be simplified for dummys like me. I am a dyi er and don't really weld all that much. given some time i will figure it out how to use it.

WOW - the auto-shade technology is a game changer. Conventional auto-darkening helmets go to a preset shade level when the arc starts, but don't adjust shade level if the arc changes due to flashes from burning contaminates. Flashes frequently happen (burning dirt/material) and can cause temporary flash blindness. I have two other lower cost helmets, the difference is night and day. TIG welding steel tubing, I can't clean the inside of the tubes. With this helmet it adjusts the shade level for the flashes before I can even see a change. No blinding flashes, A must have in my view!!

Product was as described. Excellent helmet for the price. Okay instructions. Tested out by looking at the sun. it automatically darkened but you also can adjust darkness with the knob on the side of the helmet to get the preferred amount of darkness. Very handy!
