Filler for Three Metal Types

Use AC TIG for compatible aluminum joints and DC TIG for suitable mild-steel and stainless-steel work. Choose each filler alloy for the actual base metal and service requirements.

ER4043 · AC TIG

Aluminum TIG Filler Rods

Support fabrication and selected repairs on compatible aluminum alloys. ER4043 is not a universal filler for every aluminum grade.

Red Tungsten Electrodes

Keep extra electrodes available when DC TIG tips become worn or contaminated. Confirm the classification and diameter on the packaging before preparation.

Verify AC-suitable tungsten is available for aluminum work.
Tungsten selection and handling: Do not assume the included red tungsten is the recommended choice for aluminum AC TIG. Use an AC-suitable electrode, such as 2% lanthanated tungsten, as directed by the equipment and electrode manufacturers. If the supplied red electrodes are thoriated, they contain radioactive thorium; control and collect grinding dust, avoid inhalation or ingestion, and follow the supplier's Safety Data Sheet for grinding, cleanup, and disposal.

06 · Before Welding

Important Setup Notes

Still required: A filled shielding-gas cylinder, a suitable electrical circuit and connection, any additional tungsten needed for the selected AC/DC process, and all other task-appropriate equipment and PPE.

  • Shielding gas: Supply a filled 100% argon cylinder. The gas regulator is part of the welder's standard accessories; verify its cylinder connection, pressure rating, and gas-flow control before use.
  • Input power: The TIG200P AC/DC supports 110V/220V input. Maximum TIG output is 120A at 110V and 200A at 220V. Follow the manual's circuit requirements and observe the machine and torch duty-cycle limits.
  • Filler selection: Use ER70S-6, ER4043, or ER308L only where the classification suits the base-metal grade, joint, and service conditions. Match rod diameter to the application; these fillers are not interchangeable.
  • Pedal connection: Disconnect input power before connecting the pedal or changing connections. Use only the compatible connection and supported TIG control settings; the pedal is not used for MMA/Stick welding.
  • Torch setup: Use parts matched to the WP-26 configuration and tungsten diameter. Test gas delivery and welding settings on suitable scrap before starting the actual joint.
  • Safety: Use a correctly rated helmet with an appropriate shade, suitable gloves, protective clothing and footwear, ventilation, and any additional task-specific protection. Keep the work area free of combustible materials and follow all equipment instructions.

All orders are delivered within 10 business days unless delayed due to address verification issues or suspected fraudulent activity. We never ship during weekends or holidays. All shipments have real time tracking and verified tracking numbers so you can track your items 24/7 with delivery confirmation. Orders are shipped via UPS/USPS/Amazon Logistics. When shipped, orders will take 2-3 days to update tracking number. You will get a shipping confirmation once shipped.

We cannot be held accountable for the shipping carriers actions and cannot issue refunds for shipping charges for delayed packages.

Yes. TIG200P ACDC supports AC TIG mode designed for aluminum. It handles thin sheets (as low as 0.9 mm) and thick plates up to 6 mm with stable arc and clean beads.

Aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, copper, and more. Use AC TIG for aluminum and DC TIG for other metals.

AC TIG is for aluminum and magnesium; DC TIG is for steel, stainless, and copper. The AC wave cleans the oxide layer on aluminum for a smooth, shiny weld.

Use 100% Argon gas. For aluminum, pure Argon at 15–20 CFH works best. For steel or stainless, the same gas can be used.

It’s dual voltage 110V/220V.

Output power is capped when running on 110V to prevent standard home breakers from tripping. For maximum performance, use a 220V outlet.
