Arccaptain CUT55 Pro Dual Voltage Plasma Cutter

Just use my Cut55 on a couple of quick jobs. I absolutely love it. Wish I had purchased it earlier. Rebuilt a utility trailer this summer with my ArcCaptain 200mig welder and sure could have used this plasma cutter. Thank you.

Economical plasma cutter. Should come with a quick coupler air inlet. Barbed fitting and tubing that come with unit are a joke, only bad feature.

Awesome piece of equipment!

Only 2 draw backs with the plasma cutter were. #1 the positive connection cap was missing on arrival. #2 the electrode in the nozzle of the gun was loose and I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t arcing had a new shiny metal ground and all my plugs were tight. After figuring that out it worked great! It cut a 16x16 octagon in 1/4 inch steel in less then 10 minutes!! Highly recommend

Ordered a cut 55 pro with ag60 didn’t receive ag60 emailed customer service and great service got the exact parts coming no problem. Great machine

I was very surprised at how good the unit works. I’m a novice welder who had been doing all my cutting with a grinder and cutting disk. Man this thing is sooo much quicker and easier, and safer! Super easy to get it all plugged in and ready to use. I feel I made a good investment.

Great unit. Lots of power in a small package. Worked great right out of the box. Cut on 1/2 in plate on a piece of equipment without a problem.
Have several people that were there that are ordering units.

The stick welder is a great little welder with a big punch!! I've found out that the plasma cutter won't do angles. I needed to get in between to pieces of vertical steel so I could cut them off flush with the piece they were welded on to, and I couldn't. Other than that, they are both a great addition to my ranch.

Haven't used it yet it's been to windy in Arizona to use it yet

After watching Joey Barnes using an Arccaptain 55 MP I knew that an Arccaptain plasma cutter would work in my home shop.
So far the machine is working just great.

Seems to work great I used it on 1/2" plate, cut smoothly

I bought the plasma cutter to cut apart a 1 ton dump truck box and redo it. It was rusty and I was very impressed with how it worked. Definitely worth the money.

Work great better than expected

Absolutely outstanding. Cut through 1/2 inch stainless. Cuts 1/4 inch steel like nothing. Truly impressed with this unit.

Works good on 120v but it’s definitely better on240v. Cuts clean and fast

Good quality machine fast and clean cuts,but make sure you have a adequate power source set on 110 after running it for awhile it kept blowing the breaker

am impressed so far, but what wire size comsumables do I order for the cut55??

First off thanks for the machine ! The only few things I don't care for is the barb for the regulator should have been a proper barb for air hose and real pipe thread so you can direct couple your own quick coupler!
the other observation is the machine is basically usless on 110 keeps blowing the breaker if your cutting anything more than light tin can stuff forget! it ! On 220 this thing ripps! Very happy with the cut and recommend it for the price! I have to unplug my welder to use it so I may be adding another 40 amp welder plug so i can leave it plugged in when building a project!

Started a project and it’s working great so far.

I know it’s probably my problem. I hooked the air up and plugged it in electricity and it wants to work some then it cuts off and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I checked the air and I had it 7.2 but electricity wants to throw a breaker. and I don’t know if cause I thought it was supposed to be a 110 that’s all I’d say.

This is a nice machine. Very small and compact. cover is very nice, and accessories are plentiful. It works on both 120v and 220v. I recommend 220v. At 120v it will pull over 20amps to 30amps. Which will cause your 20amp circuit breakers to trip, annoying. But, turn it down, and it will not trip 120v breakers. At 120v it had difficulty cutting thru 1/4 in. rusty steel. It cut 1/4 after repeat attempts. on 220v no problem. Air pressure can be tricky. My air compressor is large and goes to 120psi. Which is way too high. I used compressor regulator to 70psi and 65-70 on plasma cutter. This seemed too high. The arc would start and then stop on 30 degree entrance cuts. Worked better on 90 degree cuts. I turned the air pressure down to 55 psi at the plasma cutter, worked better. Even at 220v the gun cut off repeatedly. Which I feel is a setup problem. Likely, need much lower air pressure. Air seemed to be blowing out the arc. Cuts were jagged, not clean on 1/4in @ 120v, better on 220v. Still, this is not a Hypertherm industrial machine for big $$$$. For the money, it appears, so far, to be OK. I'd go 5 stars if I had a better set up and it did not stop so many times. I recommend it for small shops, and DIY welders.

Amazing plasma cutter. Cuts through 1/2 in plate steel like a knife through butter. Cuts 3/4 plate steel easily but you have to slow down the drag back speed. Build quality looks great, nice compact design to allow you to take it anywhere and enough power for the cutting that I do. Also comes with a cover when not in use. Nice cutter for the price.
