Make clean welds with less warping on auto body panels and light fabrication projects. Weld stainless, carbon, and galvanized steel from 0.020–0.118 in (0.5–3.0 mm), plus aluminum from 0.020–0.059 in (0.5–1.5 mm).
Adjust power, scan width, wire feed, and retraction using the torch controls and 0.9-inch display. Stay in position instead of walking back to the machine.

Choose your material and thickness to get a starting point from 300+ presets, then fine-tune as needed. Select fish scale welding for a stacked-dime weld appearance.

Remove rust and paint, weld your parts, and make light cuts with one machine. Clean a path up to 3.15 in (80 mm) wide to get through surface prep faster.
A closed-loop stepper motor and four-roll drive help feed wire smoothly with fewer interruptions. Supports 0.031–0.063 in (0.8–1.6 mm) wire, with adjustable retraction for added control.
Built-in air cooling manages heat without an external water chiller. No coolant to top off or water lines to maintain—just a simpler setup and fewer maintenance tasks.
Complete suitable thin-metal welds faster than conventional MIG or TIG. Spend less time on each part and make room for more customer work.

Pre-order shipping begins December 1, 2026. The first 20 pre-order customers qualify for free replacement protective lenses; we'll announce eligible order numbers on December 1, 2026. If your order qualifies, we'll ship your free lenses with your AIR 500.
The AIR 500 welds stainless steel, carbon steel, and galvanized steel from 0.020–0.118 in (0.5–3.0 mm), and aluminum from 0.020–0.059 in (0.5–1.5 mm). It’s built for thin sheet metal, auto body panels, and light fabrication. Results depend on joint fit-up, material condition, and settings.
The AIR 500 is designed to help reduce heat distortion on thin metal. Good fit-up, correct settings, and steady travel speed all help keep panels flatter, but no welding process guarantees zero warping.
It can take on many thin-metal jobs you’d normally handle with MIG or TIG, especially where speed and low distortion matter. Keep your existing welder for jobs outside the AIR 500’s thickness range or applications that require a different welding process.
The AIR 500 accepts 110–240V AC input. You can also use a compatible portable power station with suitable AC output and enough continuous power for the machine. Check the welder’s input requirements and your power source before connecting.
Yes, with a suitable power source and a properly controlled laser work area. The 16.4 ft (5 m) torch cable gives you room to work around vehicles and large parts. You’ll also need the required shielding gas, protective equipment, and ventilation.
No. The AIR 500 uses built-in air cooling, so there’s no external water chiller or coolant system to maintain. Keep the cooling vents clear and follow the maintenance instructions for the torch, protective lenses, and wire feeder.
The AIR 500 is a Class 4 laser and requires trained operation in a controlled work area. Use laser-rated eye and face protection specified for the machine, suitable protective clothing, laser barriers, and proper fume extraction. Standard welding glasses or a conventional welding helmet alone are not a substitute for laser-rated protection. Follow the manual’s full safety requirements.
