Arccaptain MIG205PCT MIG Welder and Cutter Combo 8 in 1 Welder

After using the Mig205PCT for a week now I’m honestly impressed with its performance. In my shop I have a Miller Millermatic 252, Multimatic 220 & Maxstar 150ST.

I also have a few “budget” machines to compare the the Arccaptain to like the Titanium Unlimited 200, Vulcan Omnipro 220, YesWelder Mig205DS & Mig250Pro.

So far I’d say the Mig205PCT is on par with my Miller Multimatic 220, the Mig arc is smooth and crisp. It stick welds like a Lincoln Tombstone. DC Tig is almost identical to the Miller 220, the foot pedal is accurately responsive & the pulse action is smooth. The plasma function is crisp and cuts like a dedicated machine.

The app control on a machine at this price level is exceptional, & the display is nice. I like the knurled rollers instead of a twist knob for machine settings. If Arccaptain releases a machine similar to the 205MP/205PCT with AC/DC Tig I would absolutely have a few of them in my shop running production.

The only thing I haven’t gotten to test on it yet so far is the spool gun function, I don’t have a euro style spool gun.

The only issue I had period with the machine & packaging was it didn’t come with a flow meter like the 205MP does. All in all it’s a great machine and I’m already recommending it to friends & customers.

I was tired of storing separate welders and plasma cutters taking up half my workshop. This MIG205PCT combo solves that problem perfectly. Pulse MIG works great on thin car panels, and the plasma cutter delivers clean cuts on steel brackets. Switching between welding and cutting modes takes seconds. The included HF TIG torch is a nice bonus I didn’t expect. Couldn’t ask for a more space-saving setup.

I wasn’t expecting high-frequency TIG on an all-in-one welder at this price. Arc starts smoothly without scratching the workpiece. Great for stainless steel projects where surface finish matters. Combined with pulse control, I can achieve precise, clean welds without excessive grinding afterward. Very happy with this added feature.

Been testing this combo welder for several weeks now. It offers pulse welding, plasma cutting and all common welding processes in one package. The synergic functions simplify setup, and the LED panel is easy to read. Remote control via Bluetooth app is a nice bonus. It balances beginner friendliness and professional capabilities, great for hobby workshops and small fabrication businesses.

The Bluetooth mobile app is my favorite feature on this welder. I can view, modify and save all machine parameters remotely without walking back and forth to the unit. Saving preset recipes on the app makes switching between different workpieces super fast. If you run multiple machines, remote parameter management will save you loads of setup time. Such a practical upgrade for daily workshop work.

The operation system is really well thought out. Bright LED screen displays all parameters clearly. Best of all, synergic settings are available on MIG, TIG and MMA modes. Beginners can start welding quickly without endless trial and error tuning. If you’re an experienced welder, you still get full access to fine adjustments to dial in your ideal arc. Simple to learn, yet packed with professional customization options.

I mainly work with thin metal panels, and the pulse MIG & pulse TIG make a massive difference. Less heat input means way fewer burn-throughs compared to regular welders. The Lift-TIG works smoothly, performing close to dedicated professional machines. The built-in 50A plasma cutter is handy too, and I like that I can adjust post-flow time for cleaner cuts. Perfect choice if you frequently weld thin materials.

This machine replaces multiple pieces of equipment in my garage. It covers MIG, spool gun, HF-TIG, Lift-TIG, MMA and plasma cutting. I don’t need to switch between separate cutters and welders anymore. Whether it’s metal cutting or regular welding jobs, one unit handles everything. It saves so much space and hassle for my daily repairs and fabrication. Couldn’t ask for better versatility.
