We do some serious BBQing, so I ordered this apron thinking it would be protective against heat/sparks and dirty charcoal and wood, while protecting the clothes underneath. It seems like it will do all of those things. As you can see from my pictures, it is a long length, and it has adjustable belts for the neck and waist, so it can be fitted to one’s liking. It has a few pockets that will come in handy for holding food thermometers or that kind of thing while cooking. My only concern is that I noticed the yellow color of the apron had transferred onto some of the papers that came in the package, so I worry that it may transfer onto clothing underneath this apron. It hasn’t yet, but I wouldn’t want to stain any light colored clothing by accident. If you’re wearing this apron for welding or other heavy duty jobs, you probably don’t need to worry about that!

My husband has an old truck that he loves to work on as a hobby. He’s taken up welding as part of the restoration project. It always scares me a bit when he’s doing it because the sparks fly everywhere. He has safety goggles but no clothing protection so I thought this would help both of us (more so me!) feel more comfortable about the welding! It’s a great quality and weight. My husband is a big man and it fits him very well. I would recommend to anyone that works around sparks or fire in any capacity.

This is a simple yet functional cowhide leather apron. Basically, it's just one layer of yellow colored suede leather like the one used in cheap work gloves. Pockets are sewn on and double-stitched, which is good. Straps are made of nylon with plastic buckles and cross-stitched to leather. The straps are a bit too thin to my liking, but they work fine, I can't really complain. I would very much prefer to have the neck strap padded, I'll see if I can find an add-on padding for it or make it myself. There are two straps in total - one around the neck and one around the waist. The length of both straps is adjustable with buckles attached to them, and while the waist strap is still a little long (I had no issue adjusting it to my 31 waist size) it fits fine and sits tight. There are 4 relatively deep and wide pockets on the bottom part and 2 smaller and thinner pockets on the top for tools and markers, for a total of 6 pockets. Besides the stitching, pockets are also riveted to prevent tearing. I have noticed that there is some amount of rust on the rivets, probably because the apron was made while the leather was not fully cured, and some moisture was still present in it. It's not a big issue and does not affect its performance or functionality. Overall, this is a basic yet functional leather apron, it offers good protection when woodworking, welding, or grinding. I like it.*** TL;DR ***Yes, I recommend this leather apron. There is not much to say about this apron, it's made of real cowhide leather painted acid-yellow, but the leather is thick and soft, it is double stitched, pockets are useful and roomy, all pocket corners are riveted, straps are adjustable, and it even fits my slim waist of size 31. Don't expect it to be pretty, expect it to be cheap and functional. Solid 5 stars. It is real leather Welding Apron. Would be great to have for any welding/cutting projects.Nice that even for a hefty gentleman they fit without modification. Fairly heavy, keep heat and sparks off from my clothes and belly.

I picked up this apron to use when welding as well as when doing other chores like bench grinding and angle grinding. It is perfect for these tasks. In fact, I'm likely going to wear this most any time I'm out working in my shop.It is high quality leather. Each pocket is riveted in the corner and the stitching is solid with no loose ends. There are 6 pockets, two of which are very deep. The leather is exactly the same as what you would expect with a chamois, just thicker. I am 5'11" and it hangs down about halfway between my knees and ankles. If you are shorter it may be too long, but you could easily trim the bottom to a better length if needed. I do like the fact it is pretty long as it provides better coverage.The only issue I had, and I didn't take a star off because it was easy to resolve, was with the neck and waste belt clips. For some reason they used a slightly different style clip on the neck than what was on the waste- but swapped the ends. So I wasn't able to clip the waste belt together. At least not until I looked closely and figured out what was going on. I have a photo showing the clips. One clip has a split down the middle. The other does not. The receiving clip for the one with the split down the middle has a piece of plastic in the center that lines up with the split. The clip that doesn't have the split can't snap in that that receiving piece because it hits the plastic in the center. I just had to take the clips off the straps and put them in the correct location- not a big deal . You'll see what I mean when you look closely at that particular photo. Probably just a one-off mistake though.

The media could not be loaded.  I am not a fashion specialist so I will only review it based on how I perceive the item to be.I like that it is real leather and it feels thin and light while it also looks durable to handle some rough treatment. I am not a fan on how the leather feels but then again this is not wearable for fashion but for heavy duty work and that I like. I like it’s deep pockets.

This apron is a great low budget option if you are looking for a real leather apron. It performed better than I would have expected it to for the price. I've used it for using the oxy acetylene torch at my work and can confirm that it does as it's described. It was a little big to be honest but it is very adjustable so that didn't end up being a problem. 4 out of five stars
